Where can you eat late at night in Seoul?

Plenty of Seoul restaurants serve past midnight, mostly barbecue, offal grills, soup houses and dining bars. Yeongcheon Yeonghwa in Cheongdam lists 24-hour hours every day, and Trois in Euljiro serves until 2 am every night.
Seoul eats late. Barbecue houses, offal grills, soup restaurants and dining bars often keep cooking well past midnight, especially toward the weekend. This post is for when dinner slips past 10 pm or you land late and want a real meal. For how late-night and holiday hours behave in general, see our holidays and late nights guide.
Before you go late
- Know the kind of place. Grills, soup houses and dining bars are the usual late-night food in Seoul. Fine dining and most cafes close far earlier.
- Arrive before last order. A closing time is not the last order. Many kitchens take their last order earlier, so aim to sit down at least an hour before.
- Fridays and weekends run later. Several places below add one or two hours on those nights. Check the card for the exact day.
- Watch public holidays. Some of these show special hours for Oct 3, 2026, a public holiday, and posted hours may not reflect longer closures around Chuseok and Seollal.
- Plan the ride home. The subway stops around midnight. A taxi is the usual way back after a late meal.

What to eat after midnight
The classic late meal in Seoul is grilled meat or offal with a soup or fried rice to finish, which is what Segwang Yangdaechang and Ikseondong Mokjang do. If you want something lighter and warm, a pork bone soup at Donsubaek or a bowl of bibimbap at Yeongcheon Yeonghwa is a simpler order. Dining bars like Judorak and Trois suit a late plate with a drink.
How we picked these
Every restaurant here lists hours that run past midnight on at least one night. We left out places that close at midnight exactly and bars without a real food menu, and aimed for a spread of food and neighborhoods. Late hours change more than daytime hours, so check the listing before you set out.
