Terms of Service

Effective date: October 4, 2026 · Operator: Liouville Labs, Inc.

In short: SeoulSearch is a free map and AI-assisted guide to places in Seoul. We check our facts, but places change and the AI can get things wrong, so confirm anything important with the place itself. We don't book anything for you, we don't give medical advice, and no place pays to be listed. After a few free chat questions you can buy a one-time chat pass that never renews on its own. Photos you add stay yours; you give us a license to show and use them.

1. Who we are

SeoulSearch (seoulsearch.ai, "the service") is operated by Liouville Labs, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("we", "us"). You can reach us at contact@seoulsearch.ai, or by mail at 455 Market St, Ste 1940 PMB 213430, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. By using the service you agree to these terms. How we handle personal information is described separately in our Privacy Policy.

2. Who can use SeoulSearch

You must be at least 14 years old to use the service. To sign in or buy a pass, you must also be old enough to enter into a binding contract where you live, or have a parent's or guardian's permission. You may not use the service if the law where you live forbids it.

3. What the service is, and what it isn't

  • An AI-assisted guide. Place information comes from public sources, the places themselves and our own checks, and each fact shows whether it is confirmed and when we checked. The chat guide uses AI models to search those listings and phrase an answer. Information can be incomplete, wrong or out of date, and an AI answer can misread a listing. Before you rely on hours, prices, foreigner policies, availability or anything else that matters to you, confirm it with the place.
  • No affiliation. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or paid by the places we list, unless a page clearly says so. No place pays to be listed or ranked.
  • We don't book or act for you. We don't make reservations, purchases or contact places on your behalf. Any booking or purchase is between you and the place or booking service.
  • Links to other sites. We link to other services, such as Naver, Google, maps and booking sites. They are run by others under their own terms, and we aren't responsible for their content, availability or what happens when you use them.

4. Clinics and medical information

For clinics and other medical places we show only facts: name, location, hours, languages, how booking works and the place's own contact details. "Factual information only, not a medical recommendation. SeoulSearch is not a registered medical-tourism agency, does not book or contact clinics on your behalf, and receives no payment from clinics."

  • Nothing on SeoulSearch, including chat answers, is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a recommendation of any treatment, doctor or clinic. Clinics are listed by distance or name, never ranked or endorsed.
  • Talk to a qualified medical professional about any treatment. For help with medical care in Korea, the Medical Korea Support Center run by Korea's Ministry of Health and Welfare is the official place to ask.
  • Clinic and medical information, and chat questions about it, are always free.

5. Free use

The map, every place page, guides, phrase cards and clinic information are free. The chat guide answers a limited number of free questions per device or account (currently 3); after that it needs a chat pass (see "Chat passes" below). We may change free limits to keep the service running.

6. Accounts

Signing in is optional and uses your Google account; we don't create passwords. You are responsible for activity on your account, so keep your Google account secure and tell us at contact@seoulsearch.ai if you think someone else is using it. To delete your account, email us from the address you signed in with.

7. Chat passes

  • What you buy. A 7-day pass (US$6.99) or a 30-day pass (US$12.99) for the chat guide beyond the free questions. Each is a one-time payment. Passes never renew automatically and we never charge you again without a new purchase.
  • When it starts. A pass starts with your first chat question after your free ones, not at purchase, and then runs for 7 or 30 full days (24-hour periods) from that moment. The end time is shown in the app.
  • Fair-use limits. Up to 100 questions per day (the day resets at midnight Seoul time), and use on up to 3 devices in any 7-day period. These limits stop automated or shared use; normal travel use doesn't reach them.
  • Account required. A pass belongs to the Google account you bought it with and can't be transferred or resold.
  • Changes. We may change prices, free limits or what a pass includes for future purchases. A pass you have already bought keeps the terms it was sold under.

Refunds

  • Before a pass starts: you can get a full refund at any time. We don't refund unstarted passes automatically: ask with the Refund button or by email to contact@seoulsearch.ai, and we refund the pass in full.
  • After a pass starts: the pass is digital content you have begun using, so the right of withdrawal no longer applies, except that we give a full refund if you ask within 24 hours of the start and have asked 5 questions or fewer with that pass.
  • Otherwise, a pass that has started is not refundable, except where the law requires a refund.
  • Request a refund with the Refund button next to your pass, or by email to contact@seoulsearch.ai. A refunded pass stops working right away. Refunds go back to the original payment method and can take 5–10 days to arrive.
  • If you dispute a payment with your bank or card issuer, the pass is suspended while the dispute is open.

Payment

Checkout is run by Stripe through its Managed Payments service. Your purchase is sold through Link, Stripe's merchant-of-record service (Sold through Link, LLC), which is the seller of record for the transaction and handles payment, tax, receipts and transaction support. Your purchase is therefore also subject to the Sold Through Link Terms. Prices are set in US dollars; depending on where you are, checkout may show them in your local currency and add sales tax, VAT or GST. Your statement may show "LINK.COM*". We never see or store your card number. Link's support may also refund a purchase under its own terms; that doesn't reduce the refunds we offer above.

8. Photos and edit suggestions you send

You keep ownership. Photos and suggestions you send ("your content") remain yours. By uploading a photo, you confirm you took this photo or own the rights to it, and that it shows no one's face without their consent. You grant SeoulSearch a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable license to use, display and adapt it. That license lets us show the photo on SeoulSearch and in the places SeoulSearch appears (such as shared links, guides and search results), resize and crop it, use it to promote SeoulSearch, and offer it within features we build for businesses or partners, with or without your name. It continues if you delete your account, except that we will stop showing a photo you ask us to remove.

Edit suggestions. When you suggest an edit, you let us use what you wrote to re-check that place against its sources and update our listings. A suggestion never changes a listing by itself; we change facts only when a source confirms them.

Don't send: sexual or nude images; graphic violence; anything illegal, including any sexual depiction of minors; content you don't have the rights to; photos of identifiable people without their consent; personal information about others; hateful, harassing or threatening content; spam or advertising; or anything false or meant to mislead. Photos can't be added for clinics or any medical category.

Review and removal. Every photo is checked by an automated system when you upload it, and some are held for a person to review. Signed-in users can report a photo; a photo reported by three people is hidden until we review it. Upload limits apply (currently 30 photos and 60 upload attempts per account per day).

We may decline, hide or remove any content, at any time, without notice, and we are not obliged to host or keep it.

Report or take down. To report content that infringes your rights, shows you without your consent, or is otherwise unlawful, email contact@seoulsearch.ai with a link to the photo or place and what is wrong. If you are a rights holder, include your contact details, the work you own, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized. We will remove content where appropriate and may suspend accounts that repeatedly infringe. Businesses can report photos of their place, but honest photos are not removed for being unflattering.

9. Acceptable use

When using SeoulSearch, you agree not to:

  • scrape, crawl, copy or bulk-download listings, place data, photos or chat answers, or use them to build a competing database or service or to train AI models, except as ordinary search engines index our public pages;
  • send automated or scripted questions to the chat guide, resell or share access to it, or use it as an API;
  • get around free-question, fair-use, device or upload limits, for example by clearing or faking cookies, rotating accounts or devices, or sharing a pass;
  • try to make the chat guide produce harmful, illegal or misleading content, extract its instructions, or interfere with its safety rules;
  • probe, overload or attack the service, or get into parts of it, or other people's accounts, that you aren't meant to;
  • break the law or anyone's rights through the service.

10. Our content

The SeoulSearch name and logo, the app, our guides and blog posts, and how we select, check and present place information belong to Liouville Labs, Inc. or its licensors. You may use the service for your own personal, non-commercial trip planning, and share links to it. The base map is © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL), and some facts and links come from third parties who keep their own rights.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that information is accurate, complete or current, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it is fit for a particular purpose. You use place information, chat answers and third-party sites at your own risk.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Liouville Labs, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or opportunities, arising from your use of the service or of any place, booking or third-party site you found through it. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for our fraud or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer under the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

13. Suspension and termination

You can stop using SeoulSearch at any time. We may suspend or end your access, remove content, or block devices or accounts if you break these terms, if it's needed to protect the service or others, or if the law requires it. If we end your access to a pass you paid for without a reason based on your conduct, we will refund the unused part. We may change or stop any part of the service; if we stop the chat guide entirely, we will refund passes that haven't started and the unused part of active ones.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here, with its effective date, at least 7 days before it takes effect, and at least 30 days before for changes that are unfavorable to you. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. A change never applies to a pass bought before it if it would make that pass worse for you.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard by the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country where you live still apply, and you keep any right those laws give you to bring a claim in your home courts. This includes consumers in the Republic of Korea, the European Union and the United Kingdom. Before filing a claim, please email contact@seoulsearch.ai so we can try to resolve it informally.

16. Other terms

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a successor operating the service. These terms, the Privacy Policy and, for purchases, the Sold Through Link Terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. A Korean version of these terms is available; if the two differ, the Korean version governs for users who live in Korea and this English version governs for everyone else. Questions: contact@seoulsearch.ai.
