Getting a tattoo in Seoul: the law
서울에서 타투 받기: 법
Korea's Tattooist Act takes effect on Oct 29, 2027. It was enacted in October 2025 and sets up a national license for tattooists and a registration system for tattoo studios.
What we do
We list tattoo studios as information only. We don't check licenses or hygiene, we don't rank studios, and we have no booking, partnership or commission with any of them. Links go only to the studio's own Naver Place, Instagram or website.
We list studios that do art tattoos. Semi-permanent makeup shops and tattoo removal clinics are not in the tattoo list.
